Omar Hasan Dahman is a youth development specialist, community empowerment strategist, and seasoned NGO leader with over 20 years of experience in designing and managing impactful youth programs across Palestine. Since 2011, he has served as the Executive Director of the Hebron Youth Development Resource Center (YDRC), where he leads the center’s strategy, programs, and operations to support thousands of young people through leadership development, entrepreneurship, innovation, and civic engagement.
Omar has successfully overseen complex international projects funded by USAID, the European Union, DROSOS Foundation, and other donors. His expertise spans organizational capacity building, strategic planning, multi-stakeholder partnership development, and governance reform within Palestinian civil society organizations. He is credited with founding several pioneering initiatives in Hebron, including the Hebron Media Center, Masader FM community radio station, Youth Safe Spaces, and an innovation and co-working hub for young professionals.
In 2021, Omar was elected Chairman of the Hebron Branch of the Palestinian Engineers Association, reflecting his long-standing commitment to public service and professional leadership. He also serves on several local and national boards, including the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee and the Palestinian National Institute for NGOs.
An active international representative of Palestinian youth causes, Omar has participated in global programs such as the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and numerous conferences in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. He is a passionate advocate for youth-led change, innovation, and sustainable community development.
