On Thursday, October 31, 2014, and Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Youth Development Resource Center - Palestinian Child Center initiated the first phase of the "Media Units in Safe Spaces" project under the "Positive Youth Engagement Program (PYE)." As part of this phase, media equipment was delivered to safe spaces, specifically to the Shuyoukh Sports Club (Shuyoukh) and Sawad Al-Ghad Forum (Dura), enabling them to establish comprehensive media units for audio and visual production.
The project aims to create dedicated media spaces within these safe zones, empowering youth to enhance their technical and artistic skills in media production. With access to high-quality training and creative workshops, young people will gain sustainable media production skills, including video, podcasting, and graphic design.
Through these media units, the Youth Development Resource Center is committed to providing high-quality training that encourages youth to launch impactful media initiatives, addressing community issues they care about. By strengthening their media production capabilities, the project aspires to create a powerful tool for engaging with audiences and fostering a stronger connection between the community and safe spaces, ultimately increasing public trust and participation.
This project is part of the Positive Youth Engagement (PYE) Program, implemented by Mercy Corps and funded by USAID.
