Introductory Session on the Referral System: Enhancing Psychosocial Support Coordination in Safe Spaces

The Youth Development Resource Center - Palestinian Child Club in Hebron hosted an introductory session on the referral system, as part of the Positive Youth Engagement (PYE) project implemented by the center, which focuses on psychosocial support as one of its primary pillars. The session was organized by Mercy Corps and attended by representatives of key safe spaces: the Youth Development Resource Center, Shuyukh Sports Club, and Sawaaed Al-Ghad Forum, as well as project coordinators and psychosocial support facilitators.

Mercy Corps' psychosocial support camp coordinators led the session, providing a detailed overview of the referral system and its role in enhancing coordination among safe spaces and delivering comprehensive support for youth.

This session is part of PYE’s efforts to develop the "Case Management and Referral Mechanism Guide," which is expected to contribute to:

  • Improving the quality of psychosocial support (PSS) services offered through the program,
  • Facilitating access to these services for target beneficiaries,
  • Strengthening networking between safe spaces and streamlining referrals to specialized services.

The Youth Development Resource Center, in collaboration with Mercy Corps and local partners in safe spaces, continues to work towards supporting youth well-being in Palestine and addressing their needs by providing a supportive and inclusive environment in their communities.
This session comes within the Positive Youth Engagement (PYE) program, which is implemented by Mercy Corps and funded by USAID.
