Hebron YDRC implemented a series of psychosocial support activities for children at Nrsan Cultural Center in Yatta as part of the "Integrated Child Protection & Education in Emergencies for Displaced & Conflict-Affected Children & Families" project, implemented by Hebron YDRC in partnership with Terre des hommes – Switzerland (Tdh).
The activities are designed to provide children with a safe environment where they can play, learn, and express themselves, while promoting their psychosocial well-being, strengthening their life skills, and helping alleviate the impact of the current circumstances on their lives.
The activities targeted children and adolescents aged 6–16 years, offering a diverse range of interactive and recreational activities that contribute to the development of their social and life skills, enhance their self-confidence, and encourage positive participation and interaction within a safe and supportive environment.
The "Integrated Child Protection & Education in Emergencies for Displaced & Conflict-Affected Children & Families" project aims to strengthen protection services for children and families affected by conflict and displacement by ensuring access to child protection services, psychosocial support, and education in emergencies within safe and supportive environments. The project also focuses on reducing protection risks, improving mental health and psychosocial well-being, supporting the continuity of education, and strengthening the role of local communities in prevention and response efforts.
The project targets children aged 6–14 years, parents and caregivers, adolescents and youth, persons with disabilities, as well as families and individuals at heightened protection risk. It delivers a comprehensive package of interventions, including psychosocial support, Psychological First Aid (PFA), case management, positive parenting programmes, community awareness activities, and institutional and community capacity-building initiatives.
The project is implemented in partnership with local organizations across the following locations in the West Bank:
