Future Youth Arms Forum Launches Activities for Children Under Child Protection and Emergency Education Project

Future Youth Arms Forum on Sunday, June 21, 2026, launched the first phase of activities for children aged 5–9 at the Afaq Educational Center for Rehabilitation and Training, as part of the "Integrated Child Protection & Education in Emergencies for Displaced & Conflict-Affected Children & Families" project, implemented by Hebron YDRC in partnership with Terre des hommes – Switzerland (Tdh).

The activities aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for children while strengthening their life and social skills through a variety of interactive and recreational programs. The initiative seeks to encourage positive participation and enhance children's expression and learning skills within a safe and stimulating setting.

These activities form part of ongoing efforts to support children, promote their psychosocial well-being, and help mitigate the impact of current circumstances on their lives. The initiative does so by providing safe spaces that enable children to grow, learn, and engage positively with their peers and communities.

The project seeks to strengthen the protection of children and families affected by conflict and displacement and ensure their access to protection services, psychosocial support, and education in emergencies within safe and supportive environments. It focuses on reducing protection risks, improving mental health and psychosocial well-being, supporting educational continuity, and strengthening community-based prevention and response mechanisms.

The project targets children aged 6–14, parents and caregivers, adolescents and youth, persons with disabilities, and families at risk, through an integrated package of interventions including psychosocial support, psychological first aid, case management, positive parenting, community awareness, and institutional and community capacity building.

Implementation is carried out in partnership with local institutions in the following West Bank locations:

  • Hebron – Yatta: Nrsan Cultural Center
  • Hebron – Dura: Future Youth Arms Forum
  • Bethlehem: Students Forum Institute
