Hebron YDRC Conducts Field Visits to Women-Led Projects Supported Under Economic Growth Initiative

Hebron YDRC conducted a series of field visits to women beneficiaries who won the "Small Women-Led Projects" competition in the Dura and Beit al-Roush areas of Hebron Governorate, as part of the "Supporting Women in Economic Growth" project, funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The visits covered several winning projects, including "Henna Corner," "A Tale of Beads and Thread," and "Qarqousha." The purpose of the visits was to identify project work sites and production facilities and to gain first-hand insight into the activities carried out by the beneficiaries through their small-scale and home-based businesses.

The visits also aimed to assess the needs of the various projects and determine the requirements necessary for their development and increased production capacity. This assessment will help facilitate the provision of appropriate supplies and support through the financial grants allocated to the winners, contributing to improved product quality, business expansion, and the long-term economic sustainability of the projects.

These visits are part of the project's ongoing follow-up with beneficiaries and reflect a commitment to ensuring that support is tailored to the specific needs of each project. The approach is intended to enhance the prospects for project success and growth while increasing women's participation in local economic activity.

The "Supporting Women in Economic Growth" project continues its efforts to support women entrepreneurs operating small-scale and home-based businesses by providing training, mentoring, funding opportunities, and field-based follow-up. These efforts contribute to strengthening women's economic empowerment and improving their access to resources and sustainable economic opportunities across Hebron Governorate.
