Hebron YDRC welcomed the team of the PALM Program, affiliated with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), headed by Ms. Ruth Halley. The visit took place in the context of following up on preparations for implementing the “Supporting Women in Economic Growth” project in the Hebron Governorate.
The visit was attended by Eng. Louay Al-Qaisi, Deputy Chairman of the Local Council for Employment, Education, and Vocational Training in Hebron Governorate, and Ms. Mai Al-Natsheh, Director of the Employment Department at the Hebron Labor Directorate.
The visit aimed to review the project’s implementation mechanisms, plans, and phases, including specialized practical training programs, guidance and mentoring, in addition to providing direct support to women running small and home-based businesses, helping develop their projects, increase income, and promote economic sustainability.
The project targets women who own small or home-based enterprises across several areas of Hebron Governorate, including Hebron, Bani Na‘im, Dura, and Al-Shuyukh. It offers an integrated set of activities designed to support their projects, ensure sustainability, and enhance their economic participation in the labor market.
