Launch of "Partner to Empower" Project in Hebron

The Youth Development Resource Center – Hebron YDRC, in partnership with the DROSOS Foundation, held today the introductory meeting for the "Partner to Empower" project in Hebron Governorate. The event brought together selected local civil society organizations, marking the official launch of the project’s activities aimed at economically empowering youth in marginalized communities.

The meeting opened with welcoming remarks from Eng. Omar Dahman, Executive Director of Hebron YDRC, who emphasized the importance of the project in addressing the economic challenges facing youth and communities in Hebron. He highlighted that this initiative represents a sustainable development model driven by local institutions and youth themselves.

Following that, Mr. Anas Alsarabta, Programs Director at Hebron YDRC, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the project’s vision, objectives, implementation phases, and the key roles of partner organizations. He explained that the project aims to:

  1. Empower 1,000 disadvantaged youth aged 17 to 35 across five areas of Hebron through tailored training programs in entrepreneurship, employability, and freelancing.
  2. Build the institutional capacity of five community organizations by establishing fully equipped economic empowerment units within them.
  3. Create meaningful networking and exposure opportunities through career fairs, expert meetups, and site visits to successful enterprises.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the partner organizations selected to date:

  • Sawaaed Forum
  • Al-Shuyukh Sports Club
  • Hebron Women’s Association
  • Masaader Space for Entrepreneurship

These partnerships represent the first phase of implementation, while efforts continue to expand the network of collaborators to ensure broader geographic and programmatic outreach within the governorate.

The "Partner to Empower" project is a three-year initiative that seeks to create a lasting impact by equipping youth with the tools and opportunities needed to build independent and resilient economic futures. By strengthening local institutions and fostering inclusive partnerships, the project aims to serve as a scalable model for youth-led development across Palestine.
